189 visa

Visa Subclass 189 – Skilled Independent Visa

This is a permanent resident visa that relies heavily on the Expression of Interest (EOI) points system. This visa does not require state nomination and state nomination cannot help the applicant for this subclass in anyways. You are allowed to work and study with no limitation after this visa is granted. You will be able to permanently stay in Australia. You will need to able to score at least 65 of EOI points, however, this visa has a large number of applicants all over Australia therefore, 65 points is usually not enough to get you invited as you will need to get as high as possible to compete with other applicants.
